A temporary issue that caused a brief interruption to our Secret Double Octopus passwordless authentication system was discovered at 1 pm Eastern today, March 10, 2021. An earlier network update rendered the server inaccessible from outside the internal network. The network configuration was immediately corrected and passwordless authentication was restored to full functionality. Passwordless authentication was offline for a portion of our customers for approx 15-20 min. NOTE: this impacted passwordless authentication, no other services were impacted.

Load balance configurations have been adjusted to ensure that all authentication requests properly automatically re-direct to an alternative authentication server in the event a single system becomes inaccessible.
